China National Day and Golden Week 2022

China National Day, officially the National Day of the People's Republic of China, is annually celebrated on October 1st commemorating the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949.
Chinese people enjoy a 7-day holiday from Oct. 1st to 7th, which is known as the Golden Week.

The History of China's Independence Day On October 1st, 1949, the official ceremony celebrating the inauguration of the People's Republic of China was held at Tian'anmen Square which also becomes a monument in the city of Beijing. Mao Zedong, the first chairman of the People's Republic of China, raised the first Communist national flag of China among 300,000 soldiers and citizens gathered at the Square.
The government passed the "Resolution on the National Day of the People's Republic of China" and declared October 1 to be China National Day.
